Final Self Reflection

LSC 1503 - Final Self reflection

At the beginning of the semester, I was looking for classes that could improve my English especially in speaking and presenting. I found what I need at the Academic spoken communication course which helped me to improve my speaking skills and making
presentation.
After taking the course, I have had a positive learning experience, I have had the experience of making public short announcements, speaking, presenting, interviewing and Ted talks. Also this course was helpful for my job search where I have learned how to build a good CV in addition how to interview people. I believe that these skills are absolutely going to help me in future as a media student. Not only, in addition this course made me defeat my biggest weakness which is shyness. The course has helped me become more confident. I have found it easier to speak up in my traditional classes and to speak with my classmates. I will be able to use this new found confidence to do better in college and in finding a better job.
In closing, I would like to add that I have really enjoyed the experience of this class. It has been good for me to learn first-hand what this distance learning is all about. Thank you for your help and patience.

8 Secrets of Success

Richard St. John is a self-described ordinary man; who created achievements by doing what he loved. He spent five years, which has been total of 500 interviews researching in lessons of success, after that he distilled them to eight words.

Richard St. John’s purpose of his work is to lead students to success, which can help them for the students’ future by using the eight principles. The first important principle that keeps a person successful is that the person has to start with passion on what he does and what does he wants to do. The second principle is working hard. While the other principles are that a person has to push himself every time to the top, each successful person has to have a good idea to improve things, improving the work, other and the person himself is one of the most important principles because it helps the person to get rid from the disadvantages, the last principle is that a successful person all the time should persist failure.
