At the
beginning of the semester, I was looking for classes that could improve my
English especially in speaking and presenting. I found what I need at the
Academic spoken communication course which helped me to improve my speaking
skills and making
presentation.
After
taking the course, I have had a positive learning experience, I have had the
experience of making public short announcements, speaking, presenting,
interviewing and Ted talks. Also this course was helpful for my job search
where I have learned how to build a good CV in addition how to interview
people. I believe that these skills are absolutely going to help me in future
as a media student. Not only, in addition this course made me defeat my biggest
weakness which is shyness. The course has helped me become more confident. I
have found it easier to speak up in my traditional classes and to speak with my
classmates. I will be able to use this new found confidence to do better in
college and in finding a better job.
In
closing, I would like to add that I have really enjoyed the experience of this
class. It has been good for me to learn first-hand what this distance learning
is all about. Thank you for your help and patience.
